The Lost People of Malplaquet

In the second book, the mystery deepens and the story darkens as we learn more about the Lilliputians. We are also introduced to their main enemy, Jedekiah Biddle, who is literally closing in on them by moving into a nearby manor house. His son, John, also starts at Malplaquet School – in the same class as Jamie…

More of the garden’s secrets are uncovered by Jamie, especially with the help of Granny, a good teenage friend called Vicky, and Ralph, who is an old local gardener. It gradually becomes clear that the gardens are far more unusual than any of them suspected, and all the people – humans as well as Lilliputians – need to have their wits about them as they try to complete their difficult tasks and fight their battles

But at least they have some help from some unexpected quarters. Jamie had always assumed that all those garden statues just stood around doing nothing…. How wrong could he be…

Beautifully illustrated again by Jonny Boatfield, this is the sequel to the acclaimed Temples of Malplaquet.
